President's Distinguished Club for the 6th year running!

Heartiest Congratulations to Punggol Toastmasters Club for achieving President's Distinguished Club status for the year 2010-2011, the 6th consecutive year that the Club has received this prized and prestigious accolade, which speaks for itself about the Club's sustained success and unquestionable quality! Well Done!

Club Humorous & Evaluation Speeches Contests 2011

Punggol Toastmasters Club recently organised our Club Humorous & Evaluation Speeches Contests 2011 on 24 Aug 2011.

Kudos to all the contestants (pictured, together with Division S Governor, Chia Choon Kiat, CC/CL) for their painstaking preparation for this gruelling and side-splitting contest!

We would also like to express our immense appreciation towards all the appointment holders and organisers for their contributions =)

The best speaker for both the Humorous & Evaluation Speeches Contests is Darren, who will go on to represent the Club at the Area Contest. Congratulations and we wish him all the best for the Area Contest!

Punggol Toastmasters Club - 10th Anniversary

On behalf of the EXCO 2011-12, we will like to warmly welcome our members and distinguished guests for the special occasion of celebration of 10th Anniversary of Punggol Toastmasters Club together with the Installation of EXCO for 2011-12.

This will be an evening of sharing of thoughts from some of our esteemed guests, awesome prepared & impromptu speeches and though provoking evaluations.

With the theme of the meeting being "Laughter is the best medicine", this forthcoming meeting, we have a series of fun-filled activities lined up for you. For your perusal and reference, please find the attached programme sheet.

23rd March, 2011 (Wednesday) is the day for Punggol Toastmasters Club's International Speech and Table Topics Contests.

Do you know how it is like to be in a contest, some say that it is totally different from doing your projects because you are now pitted against other members. In a contest, your palms sweat, your heart swings, your head spins - it is a totally different challenge.

We have seen members forgot every word, walk off the stage at half time and EVEN fainted. On the other hand we have seen people deliver some amazing speeches which have spellbound the audience.

Do you have the gumption to take it on ? Or want to cheer on your friends, club members who are participating.. Then come on...witness them taking on the stage and CHEER them on.
